OPS can undertake all aspects of your newsletter production, from design and development to printing or electronic distribution.
No hidden costs
The editing, layout and artwork services, as well as all production for both e-publishing and making press-ready are all covered by the standard studio rate.
No additional charges are made for the so called ‘set-up’ costs, ‘consultation’ costs, or ‘additional elements’ such as using images.
Estimates
Based on our experience we can estimate production costs from the specifications of your newsletter. In some cases you may be elegible for a fixed-price service and we are happy to discuss this with you.
Printing and finishing are obtained at trade prices, which are significantly lower cost than ‘high street’ prices. This means you can afford a professional design and typesetting service.
E-newsletters are economic and effective. OPS can create both individual communications and ongoing campaigns. When OPS manages your regular e-newsletter you receive multiple cost benefits.

How to be on time and on budget
Even if you have outsourced newsletter production before, it is important to plan a new project with care. Be sure you are clear on who is going to undertake the various jobs in the newsletter production, such as author, reviewer, designer, editor, typesetter, proof reader, publisher, sales and marketing, and distribution.
More about editorial planning.
OPS will be able to advise you of the potential problems in your newsletter production before they happen, saving a lot of time and money. Make sure you schedule the time to discuss each aspect at the beginning of your project, and be clear on the channels of communication for its duration.
Submitting copy for your newsletter
When submitting your text and supporting materials for your newsletter, please follow these guidelines.
Text
Text should be supplied in a Microsoft Word document. Do not apply any complex layout such as columns. Do not insert additional text boxes. Golden rule: keep it simple!
Charts
Charts should be supplied in a Microsoft Excel document and not as graphics (to allow the typesetter to export the charts in the style needed).
Images
Please supply images at 300 dpi in either jpg, tif or eps. Images that have been optimized for the Web are not acceptable for print because they are low resolution and reproduce poorly in print.
